Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in New York, from 17 to 19 September 2017, to attend the United Nations General Assembly as well as several events organised in the margins of the UNGA.

 

The Secretary-General delivered remarks at several high-level events, including the Equator Prize 2017 Award Ceremony, the event World Leaders for Universal Health Coverage, and a Meeting of the Global Deal for Decent Work and Inclusive Growth. While in New York, the Secretary-General also launched the Equal Pay International Coalition.

 

During his visit, the Secretary-General held bilateral meetings with several high level officials from the UN system and member states.
