The CTO is the leading Commonwealth agency concerned with telecoms and ICT and an important provider of technical co-operation and expertise.

The CTO works with governments, businesses and organisations to develop effective ICT strategies for business and economic development.

The Programme for Development and Training
(PDT)
has delivered over 3300 bilateral training and consultancy projects, covering every aspect of the telecommunications industry.

CTO/ITU Regulatory Workshops: the programme consists of 6 linked workshops that can be delivered by either party organisation anywhere in the world.

Research initiatives in partnership with other organisations or commissioned by outside agencies.

The Commonwealth Government and Business Guide to ICT is a unique resource of information about ICT in the Commonwealth designed specifically for use by Government Ministers, Regulators, Utility Heads and leaders of the Communications Industry.

The CTO undertakes a wide range of other work with and on behalf of other countries.
