Programmes

The aid priorities set out in the strategy for Danish development assistance (Partnership 2000) comprises the general policy framework for Denmark’s development co-operation.  The overriding objective of Danish development aid is poverty alleviation.  However, Partnership 2000 emphasises the need for addressing the challenges facing the developing countries as a consequence of globalisation, including ICT development. The Danish aid programme does not include an explicit ICT policy, but over the years the use of ICT tools has gradually increased and become an integral part of the planning and implementation of numerous Danish funded aid activities.
