Guiding Principles/Objectives

 

Programmes

NZAID works towards poverty elimination through the promotion of sustainable development, gender equity, and human rights. Its ICT interventions focus on the creation of opportunities for sustainable livelihoods, which minimise vulnerability to poverty.

NZAID intervenes almost exclusively in the ICT sector through the promotion of access to distance education and open learning.  It also supports ICT use for health delivery, participatory government and strengthening civil society's role in governance mechanisms.

New Zealand's ICT delivery is primarily targeted at the Pacific.
