Forthcoming Q1, 2018 - Biodiversity and Development: Mainstreaming and managing for results
This report will focus on three key areas: mainstreaming biodiversity and development objectives at the national and sectoral levels (e.g. in agriculture, fisheries, and forestry), and how to monitor and evaluate mainstreaming performance.
This paper provides an in-depth review of experiences and insights from mainstreaming biodiversity and development in South Africa. More specifically, it describes how biodiversity considerations have been mainstreamed in five key sectors/areas, namely: land use planning, mining, water, infrastructure, and the agricultural sector.
Workshop on Biodiversity, Climate Change and Agriculture
The OECD Workshop on Biodiversity, Climate Change and Agriculture: Towards Coherent Approaches, held on 25 October 2017 at the OECD Paris, examined how to consider, in a coherent manner, two environmental challenges - biodiversity loss and climate change and the inter-relationships with agricultural productivity.
Drawing on insights from a range of OECD countries, the aim was to share experiences, challenges and good practice insights to improve alignment and effectiveness of policies across these three areas.
