Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, in Mexico from 7 to 11 January 2019

 

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Mexico from 7 to 11 January 2019 on an official visit.


While in Mexico, he presented the Follow up Report on the  Recommendations for Mexico’s E-Procurement System (CompraNet) and the Progress Report on the Integrity Review of Mexico.

He also delivered speeches to present the IMSS Reports: Combate a la colusión en las compras públicas del IMSS: Impacto de las recomendaciones de la OCDE – 2018 and Simplificación administrativa en el IMSS: Medición de impacto y recomendaciones para impulsar la estrategia.

He further presented the reports The Future of Mexican Higher Education: Promoting Quality and Equity and Higher Education in Mexico: Labour Market Relevance and Outcomes.

While in Mexico, the Secretary-General held several bilateral meetings with high-level authorities of Mexico and delivered a speech to present the book: Can Finance Save the World?, by Bertrand Badré and on how the OECD is working to address these challenges.
