Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, in Katowice, Poland, on 12-13 December 2018

 

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Katowice, Poland, on 12-13 December 2018, to attend the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP 24).


In Katowice, the Secretary-General attended the OECD High-Level Side Event New Climate Economy (Climate-Growth Nexus) and delivered remarks at the OECD‑UN Environment FI High-Level Side Event (Aligning Finance with the Goals of the Paris Agreement).


Mr. Angel Gurría also announced an OECD project, Aligning Development Co-operation with the Objectives of the Paris Agreement.


The Secretary-General delivered remarks on Making the Most of Digitalisation for Inclusive and Sustainable Cities at the University of Economics of Katowice.


While in Katowice, Mr. Angel Gurría held several bilateral meetings with high-level authorities.
