Regional Meeting on Tax and Digitalisation for Asian and Pacific Countries - November 2019

Date: 19-21 November 2019

Location: Asian Development Bank (ADB) HeadquartersManila, the Philippines

The Regional Meeting on Tax and Digitalisation for Asian and Pacific countries will be hosted by the OECD and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

This meeting will focus on the Inclusive Framework’s most recent Programme of Work, which aims to address the tax challenges arising from the digitalisation of the economy by providing consensus-based, long-term solutions.

Regional outreach events on digitalisation enable all countries and jurisdictions, Inclusive Framework members and non-members, to feed their perspectives into the global debate on the reallocation of taxing rights and proposals for a minimum corporate income tax.

The first two days of the meeting will be open to all ADB member countries. The third day will be dedicated to developing countries from the Pacific region to deal with broader capacity building issues.

The meeting will bring together officials from Finance Ministries, other relevant ministries, revenue authorities of ADB member countries, decision-makers, technical experts, representatives from the OECD, as well as regional and other international organisations
